Zanesville Oh Lifestyle Photographer | Kate + Andy

Kate and Andy are a super cute couple.  They were set up by their parents (see Mom does know best!) and now they're planning their wedding!  Andy suggested we shoot in old downtown Zanesville.  I've never shot there so I was totally up for a change.  We walked all over the places and I found some of the coolest places and the best light.  This is by far one of my favorite places to shoot now!  We got so many amazing pictures that it was really hard to narrow down my favorites.

Lola Bear...

Lola a.k.a. Lola Bear or Bear Bear is 5 months old today!  We got her back in April at only 8 weeks.  She weighed in at a whopping 4 lbs and is now up to 12!  She's my little chunky monkey and she always manages to make me smile everyday...even when she chews on my shoes.  She's the sweetest little dog!

Friday's Five...

I would like to start posting more stuff about me on my blog so my readers can get to know me better.  So every Friday, I'm going to post five things that have happened in the past week, good or bad...

1.  We went back to Pennsylvania for the holiday and had a blast!  I got to visit with several of my cousins that I haven't seen in 7 years!  It was awesome to just hang out and catch up.  I took tons of pics so I'll be posting those soon!  We stayed with my grandpa and I love this man to death!  He will be 90 in November and there's just no stopping him!  He still mowes his own grass and has 2 gardens he works in!  I'll have another post about him later on too!

2.  This heat is ridiculous!  It has been in the mid 90's everyday and my kids won't even go outside!  The grass is refusing to grow which is good because I'd hate to have to mow naked due to the heat, but it would be nice if my parents (who are next door) would fill their pool so I can float around in it!

3.  My Mama turns 61 today!  Happy Birthday Mommy!  I'm so blessed to still have both of my parents in my life and I thank God everyday for them!

4.  Baseball season is almost over!  I have three children, two play baseball and one plays softball.  We are at the ballfield at least 6 nights a week!  If I have to eat another hot dog, I might officially turn into one!  Jevon made the All Stars team which is awesome since he's only 8 and the team is made up of all 10 year olds!  My baby is the bomb!

5.  Craig and I have been together 14 years this month!!  It's hard to believe we started dating when I was only 17!  I met him one day on a whim and the rest is history!  We've been through so much in the past 14 years but it's only made us stronger, happier and better people.  I love him so much and I'm so glad I have him!  He's a pretty amamzing dad too :)

So that's it for today!  Stop back next week for the next installment of Friday's Five!

Samantha + James | Newark Oh Portrait Photographer

I met with Samantha and her mom a while ago and from the minute I met her, I knew she's be fun to work with!  At the end of our consultation her mom asked her if she needed some time to think it over and she told her no, that she knew she wanted to book with me before she ever walked through my door.  I love hearing stuff like that!  When you feel that pasionate about something, you should go for it!  Shortly after our first meeting we set up a time to shoot their engagement pictures at Dawes.  Despite the heat we got some amazing shots and I'm super excited to work with them at their wedding!

Love, Love, Love this one!

I think this one is my favorite!

Mason | Reynoldsburg OH Baby Photographer

I've been photographing little Mason since he was in his Mama's belly.  This was actually our second time trying to get some pictures of him because at our first shoot, he wasn't having it!  We took him to a park and just let him run free.  That usually works the best.  His facial expressions are classic!

He's like "What??"

Confession...

I have a confession...I'm a binge blogger.  Yes, I said it.  I won't blog for weeks then all of a sudden I'll post twenty events.  My goal this year was to blog everyday.  I think I made it like a week!  As of right now I have, oh I don't know, about 24 events to blog about.

I really need to get my A.D.D. under control and get some kind of organization in my life.  My office scares people because of all the paperwork, boxes and photography stuff just lying around.  Everyday I wake up with good intentions of today being the day I get organized but it just never happens.  I have random work hours, 3 random children, a husband and a house to get sold.  Some days I really just don't want to get out of bed!  So with that being said.  I will AGAIN make an effort to be a better blogger for my readers :)

"Quality VS Quantity"

One of the most asked questions I get is, "How many picutres will I receive?"  There's no exact answer for this question.  There are a lot of factors that will determine how many photos will be taken.  How long will I be there shooting?  How small or big is the wedding party?  I'd like to say I average 75-100 pictures an hour but again, that's not set in stone.  Quality is way more important to me than quantity.  Do you want 500 ah-mazing images or a 1000 mediocre ones?  I always take duplicates because when you're photographing large groups of people you've always got one or two people who are looking somewhere else or close their eyes.  But there's no need for me to give you ten images of the exact same picture.  So to answer this question, it depends!  I try to capture moments as they happen with little directing and give you ah-mazing photos that you will cherish forever!

My Boys... | Newark OH Family Photographer

I met up with my photographer friend, Darlene, from Harvest of Memories and we took the kids to the park to play.  I snapped these few shots of them playing in the sand.

The Hannahs' Boys

It's hard to believe six months has already passed and it was time to photograph Lane and Garrett again!  I went out to their house and spent some time photographing them in their backyard and house.  These boys are so stickin cute!!

Holly + Andrew | Newark OH Wedding Photographer

Holly and Andrew were married in a little church out in Thornville and we shot all the bridal party pictures at Dawes.  They opted to see each other before the ceremony (which I highly recommend!) and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.  The weather was perfect and the sky was really  blue.  Everything went great!  Congrats!

The Cook Family | Heath OH Family Photographer

This post is really overdue since Brooke was about 5 or 6 months pregnant in these photos and little Mason was just born about a week ago!  We shot these pictures at Gellar Park in Heath and little Miss Presley wasn't really in the mood for me to have my big camera in her face! So I chased her around and we did manage to get some cute ones of her!

Cassie + Jarrod | Zanesville Wedding Photographer

Cassie was a bridesmaid in a wedding I shot a couple of years ago and now she was getting married so the family gave me another call and we booked her wedding! Her and Jarrod were having a western themed wedding with a mechanical bull!  They were married at Roger's Auction Barn in Adamsville (right outside Zanesville)  I think Jarrod has a little Eminem in him!  But everyone had fun that night riding the bull and I hope they call me back this winter when their little one arrives so I can photograph him too!

Camryn | Reynoldsburg Family Photographer

My friend, Sylvia from A Wedding by Sylvia has had me photograph her family for a couple of years now.  They just welcomed baby girl number 3, Camryn back in May and she came into this word weighing 9-3!!!  She's a big girl!  But she absolutely gorgeous and I'm so happy for you both!

The Blackburn Family | Granville Family Photographer

Ok, so Amy and I go back to Jr High.  We played basketball together and went to high school together as well.  So when she called and asked me to photograph her family, I was super excited to catch up with her!  We talk on Facebook but we don't see each other very often because she lives in KY now.  So they drove up and we walked all over Granville capturing her children in their true form!  Katie was picking flowers out of the front yard of this house and then her and Blake were both happiest when they were climbing on the bike rack!  Ya gotta love kids!

Bentley+Campopiano Wedding | Granville OH Wedding Photographer

Lisa and Robert were married back in April at the Granville Inn.  I shot Lisa's son's wedding last year and I photograph her grandbabies several times a year as well.  Lisa and Robert live in VA now so they came back from where Lisa is from to tie the knot!
